You guys, I went to a flea market today and bought the cutest thing ever!
It’s a late fifties Vulcan Classic Toy Sewing Machine. I couldn’t just leave it there 🙂 My boyfriend didn’t want me to buy anything but he wasn’t paying attention and I smuggled it into the house… A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do.
The lady who sold it to me didn’t know if it was still working and after some internet research and upon further inspection, I don’t think it ever will. Somewhere along the road the batteries have run out. But that’s okay, I’ll keep this one as a decorating piece and maybe I’ll find another one some other day.
Here it is next to my Bernina. Isn’t it tiny 🙂
wow, it really is tiny, and very cute – shame it doesn’t work!

So cute! Toy sewing machines are great decoration once they stop working. Glad you were able to rescue it from the flea market!
Does it work if you hand-crank it?

It does, but it’s really coarse so I don’t think it’ll be possible to use that way.

I love it! I have a toy one I bought “for my kids”. hehe. Then, my mom bought a Hello Kitty one for my daughter and honestly, neither works, but they’re so cute!
